All premises Domestic / Commercial and Industrial need to have periodic electrical tests. 

Domestic dwellings the recommended time is every 10 years or at change of ownership.

Commercial & Industrial the required time is every 5 years or change of ownership or usage.

The purpose of the test is to prove the premises is safe and compliant with BS7671 (IET Wiring Regulations)

If the test identifies any dangers - electric shock hazards / fire hazard this can be dealt with on the day and non compliances can be quoted for.

These tests offer a piece of mind as well keeping your property up to date.
